Comments: In 2005 HOSEF began reaching out to the City and County of Honolulu in hopes of providing computer access and broadband to Hawaii's more disenfranchised communities. By setting up thin-client computer labs and free wifi, we managed to provide a service, for free, to the citizens of Oahu. This is an overview of what we did at the park.

Exercise African Lion is an annually scheduled, joint, combined US-Moroccan exercise. It brings together nearly 2000 US service members from locations throughout Europe and North America with more than 900 members of the Royal Moroccan Armed Forces. Comments: After setting up a gnu/linux edutainment center with free but filtered publicly accessible wifi, a for-profit entity capitalizing on the No Child Left Behind legislation, began using the free HOSEF lab in order to run its for-profit programs on City and County property. In order to accommodate the hourly workers tasked with the teaching, including connecting their laptops to the filtered HOSEF network for web-based applications, I made this video to help them.
