YouTube.com - Pirates of the Caribbean 4 at Halona Cove, Hawaii
Comments: HIGH-RES Photos - Link Below. Pirates of the Caribbean 4 (POTC4) filming on Oahu near the Blowhole at Halona Cove. Security was allowing the public to watch and use cameras at first, but later kept everyone away. Here's some footage I shot on July 15, 2010, with my digital camera in video mode (sorry, quality could be better). The main actor in front of the camera is Geoffrey Rush. Cool how they make it rain with the huge sprinkler. The "Pirate Song" is from "Long John Silver's Return to Treasure Island" (1954). This cove is most famous as the "From Here to Eternity" beach where Burt Lancaster rolled in the surf with Deborah Kerr (Best Picture 1953). It was also in the recent movies "50 First Dates," and "Journey to the Center of the Earth ...

Comments: "CHILD FRIENDLY" We headed over to the Halona Blowhole lookout to get a little closer look at the Blowhole as well as the beautiful and secluded Halona Cove beach. Tourists and vacationers are not well aware of this beach and if they see it they don't seem to bother finding a way to get down to it. When you get to this beach you will find very few people if any on it. Only the locals know how much of a GEM this beach is!
