Comments: Warsaw Multicultural Street Party, 28th of August 2011. Sharing Hawaiian culture with people in Poland. Our hula team performed a sacred hula pahu dance "A ko'olau'au". Choreography by kumu hula Raylene Ha'alelea Kawaiae'a that is a native Hawaiian and origins from Big Island Hawai'i. This sacred dance is usually performed in a heiau, which in Hawaiian means temple. It had been performed for the very first time by Hi'iaka, the youngest and beloved sister of Pele - Hawaiian Volcano Goddess. She was traveling from the Island of O'ahu to the Island of Kaua'i with her mission to bring Pele's lover - Lohi'au. The journey was very dangerous and full of traps.
